Bombs are exploding one after another in the quiet Belgian city of Charleroi. There are dead and injured people. The actions are carried out in the name of God, in the name of religion. Augustin, an orphan who is an intern at the local newspaper, is caught in the middle of the events. On the one hand, he conducts his own investigation to find the real culprit, and on the other hand, he witnesses how an innocent child turns into a terrorist. He has a very special ability that helps him do all of this: He sees what is beyond people's faces, the angels or demons that wander around them and guide them towards good or evil.
