The period between 1960 and 1980 was a period in which the Turkish left established itself on a mass scale and deeply affected Turkey. September 12, 1980 is the turning point when Turkey's class and political spectrum was violently fragmented and began to be restructured with a reactionary and counter-revolutionary transformation.

In this book, this 20-year period is explained through the lens of the world conditions that give the environment its characteristics, Turkey's economic, social and political developments and the practice of class struggle, especially the rise and fall of the left and socialism.

In the book, on the one hand, the story of objective developments and the practical political activities of left subjects is summarized based on concrete information, while on the other hand, the historical and periodic formation, shaping characteristics, ideological, political and programmatic views of various elements of the left are examined.
