Yorgunlar brings together eight stories written between 1954-1958. The first story of the book was written by a nineteen-year-old writer in 1954. The Yorgunlar, which was praised by the literary critics of the period, reflects the spirit of the 50's Generation, which sought innovation in language and fiction, even though their understanding of literature was not the same: An extremely attentive Turkish and an extraordinary literary sensitivity...
Erdal Öz, He never published Yorgunlar again. But he carried some of the stories from this book into his new books with changes: 'Candleflowers,' 'The Puppeteer,' 'It Was My Father' and 'The Child' appeared before the reader again in There is the Sound of Snow in the Air, published in 1987. Öz transferred his beloved story 'How Beautiful the Waters' to his book of the same name in 1997 and won the Sait Faik Story Award with this book. Within the scope of the project of republishing the first books of the authors of the 50's Generation in the 50th year, we considered it our duty to present Yorgunlar to our readers in its first form.
