Gürsel Korat's novel The Dawn Star is Born Again resembles tragedies:
The desperation that foretells the approaching disaster and increases at every node. This novel, which leaves the reader in the arms of the reader, is a contemporary epic written in visual language.
In the 1300s, the love between Niğde judge Sheikh Nizamüddin and Zembilli İshak puts the love of the sheikh's son Nureddin and his adopted daughter Fazıla into a terrible impasse. Even though everyone is mobilized to solve this knot, events are full of surprises. The Iliad was told as a verse epic for five hundred years, and was written by someone in the age of Pericles. The story of Leyla and Mecnun has been passed around from word to word, but someone has reconstructed the story in poetry rather than prose. In other words, considering that oral literature survived until recent times, it would not be wrong to say that those who told the story and those who wrote it were different until the dawn of modernity. The fiction writer is the first person to combine both the narrator and the writer within himself. The Tan Star is Born Again opens by realizing this distinction: The Narrator and the Writer are different. Here the author arrives at a form of address that is useful for using visual techniques. We wander through the laboratory of what he calls the visualization of writing, and suddenly the narrator and the writer merge. But here too, the narrative progresses by revealing the hidden voice of the author. In other words, the author is aware of both what he tells and what he writes.
