Your white pilot's cap on your head, that luminous smile on your face. You are standing before me as a young, beautiful woman. Then I see you with a bomb in your hand close to your neck. Your plane is a French-made Breguet 19 light bomber. You posed in front of him, as if you were hugging someone you loved, with a bomb.

Karin Karakaşlı, who has bravely walked the most treacherous areas of the borders drawn between people, countries and societies with what she has written so far, brings together twelve stories she wrote between 2002 and 2014 in Insufficient Balance. It tells the drama of humanity, which is trapped in a world that it has deliberately made small, while traveling on a wide route from love and power struggles to mass murders, from cities that have been demoralized to destroyed social values.
