Schopenhauer's philosophy starts from the view that our whole life can be better. Since we are born once, we have to deal with the years of our life. His suggestions decry quick gratification, but promise intellectual happiness to those who endure it with great effort. It is not easy to endure the pessimistic and cynical tone of his way of thinking, but then you will be rewarded with the fireworks display of a great genius.

No one can remain indifferent to this book: either he opposes Schopenhauer's worldview and thus sharpens his own, or he can find in it truly helpful information to cope more easily with his existence on earth.
