The fact that poet, essayist and translator Cemal Süreya is a magazine editor is a fact that even readers who have only heard of the legendary magazine Papyrus ("Papo" in his own words) will accept. Cemal Süreya not only published a magazine, but also initiated the emergence of other magazines, was on the editorial boards or supported them with his articles. One of Cemal Süreya's important contributions to the field of magazine publishing is the selections he made by scanning the important literature-art magazines published in France day by day from March 1968 to October 1975. Bahanur Garan Göksen and Erol Göksen brought together these articles, which were published under the title "Foreign Publications" in the Turkish Dili magazine, and compiled them into a book. While Foreign Publications is an important contribution to the completion of Cemal Süreya's oeuvre, it is also an important collection in terms of introducing today's readers to the atmosphere of world literature of half a century ago and various problems of literature and publishing - most of which continue to exist and be valid today.
