Anil Ananthaswamy is a consultant for New Scientist magazine. He is a visiting editor for the science writing program at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and teaches science journalism at the National Center for Biological Sciences in Bangalore, India. Winner of the UK Physics Institute's Physics Journalism Award and the British Science Writers' Association's Best Investigative Journalist award, Ananthaswamy's first book, The Edge of Physics, was chosen as the book of the year by Physics World in 2010. Ananthaswamy lives in Bangalore, India, and Berkeley, California.
