Vicdanları Sorgulatan Hikaye Struma
Struma, while it was the name of a river in the Balkans, turned into the symbol of one of the great tragedies of humanity due to the events that took place. The ship bearing this name became the grave of more than seven hundred civilian men, women and children as it sank into the cold waters of the Black Sea due to states, governments, endless political correspondence and disputes. Hundreds of people, hundreds of hopes, hundreds of love, fear, compassion, longing... All disappeared at once. The only survivor of this death ship was a young man named David Stoilar. In the book you have in hand, Aaron Nommaz bears witness to an era and a great tragedy while telling with grace, sadness and sensitivity what David Stoilar experienced in Romania and after boarding the ship. And at the end of the book, we cannot help but ask the following question: When will oppression end in this world, when will wars end, when will the human race stop killing each other, how long will murders committed in the name of religion, nationality and race continue?
Nommaz's fluent novel is an answer to these (perhaps unsolvable) questions and says: When the human conscience takes action, there is hope.
