Veronica Roth – Divergent

This work, which is the first book of the young American writer Veronica Roth, was published in our country in 2015 by Artemis Publications, with the translation of Ugur Mehter. Being the first book of a four-part series, Incompatible has also been adapted for the big screen.

The world described in the book The Divergent is a dystopia divided into five communities, each dedicated to living a certain virtue: Honesty, Sacrifice, Bravery, Friendship and Wisdom.

In an exam held on a certain day every year, sixteen-year-old individuals have to choose the group they will live with for the rest of their lives. Beatrice, the main character of the novel, will have to make a choice between her family and her own self, and will therefore be dragged into a breathtaking adventure.

The series continues with the 2nd book “Rulesless” and the 3rd book “Yandas”. There is also a spin-off episode of the series called "Four".
