The lynching and murder of Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht, the founders of the German Communist Party, by German militarist teams in January 1919 was also an ominous harbinger of the future rise of Nazism. Later, the murder of revolutionary leaders would be a method imitated in many parts of the world. In 1921, exactly 2 years later, again in January, Mustafa Suphi, the founder of the Communist Party of Turkey, and his friends would encounter a lynching environment organized by militarists and would be massacred by Teskilat-i Mahsusa members in the dark waters of the Black Sea.
Although there were many publications criticizing Rosa Luxemburg's views on the national question, it was not possible to access translations of her own texts. The current militarism debates in Turkey are enriched by Liebknect's SELECTED ARTICLES published in Turkish for the first time.
