Prof. dr. Ötüken's Ömer Seyfettin Collection prepared by Nazım Hikmet Polat; It was created by adding other texts within the same framework to the relevant works, based on the books published by the author during his lifetime.

This volume contains 35 stories, all copyrighted. Even the stories in this volume within the same theme do not repeat each other in terms of subject matter. All stories are structurally sound texts, with elements of curiosity postponed until the end as much as possible.

Although Ömer Seyfettin is a multi-faceted writer, he is first and foremost a storyteller. In this respect, the corpus was started with the story series. Both copyrighted and translated texts based on the principle of narration are considered as stories. Translated stories show not his talent in writing, but his preferences in translation.

Ömer Seyfettin is an author who has written beautiful and well-structured stories that overshadow the storytellers before him. We can list him at the top among the names that can represent Turkish storytelling in world literature.
