Communities in Turkey and Their Origins Book Description

As a senior officer, I worked in Van, Hakkari and Adıyaman provinces between 1989-1995. I was extremely angry with the PKK. On the other hand, I was trying to analyze the people, the region and the events correctly. Because there were no such problems in the world political history that were solved only by armed measures, and it was not possible to have them. However, the analysis was very easy. There was a problem of national identity. Kurds first wanted to learn their identity and history. According to them, citizenship identity should have been addressed later, depending on the outcome of the conflicts. They expected this from the State and its relevant institutions, but they did not receive any answer other than the "card-wolf legend". Scientists of Western countries, on the other hand, were producing theory after theory about the Kurds in accordance with the interests of their countries. So the issue was not economic but ideological. Because the majority of those who fought for Kurdishness were petty bourgeois. Something was always on my mind. What would I have done if I had been born in Van, for example, instead of Kilis? How should I approach things? I speak a language called Kurdish! I am known as a Kurd in society! Neither the State, nor the authorized institutions, nor anyone else explains to me what a Kurd is! If I am a Turkish tribe, this should be taught to me in the history book. If not, what is my race, history, ancestry and lineage as a Kurd, since I do not come from outer space? I would think, I would call, I would ask. Because I thought that this was everyone's most natural right arising from being human. It is from this perspective that I set out to write this book.
