Şener Özmen 's book tells us about the work of a young generation artist within the Turkish art scene, and interprets and over-interprets it in his own words. This tells the story of an environment in which young people are formed. This is the 1990's It appears to be a part and continuation of an art movement that started in the first half; This is a phenomenon that started to blossom at a time when art, sociology and philosophy were brought to the art environment and current philosophical and political approaches were re-discussed. It looks like an art movement. These new readings and new understanding of criticism, which started in the 1990s, stand as the product of a movement of thought that started with the philosophical perspective called 'Post-structuralism' in the field of plastic arts. Foucault and Deleuze-Guattari translations, Baudrillard and Lyotard's views on the "postmodern" period began politically as civil society and emerged in a period called "Second Republicans" by nationalists. an artistic movement; Because minority rights, civilisation, liberal theoretical politics, an artistic and economic environment that has become transnational with globalization, the new freedom environment brought by private televisions and radios, and in this sense, the hierarchy between low and high arts is weakening and gradually breaking apart. The beginning of art - which ultimately brought about a high art that came under the dominance of popular culture - all of these are events that started within the dynamics of Istanbul and developed within a contemporary art movement that later began to be known by more regional names. Şener Özmen examines and analyzes these events as he experienced them and as he is in them. These writings, which are sometimes critical and sometimes descriptive, also bear subjective witness to a period, in this sense, they take on the nature of a historical document and with this character, they create a "use value".
