Tolstoy Bütün Eserleri 10 - 1872 1886 - Masallar ve Halk Hikayeleri-Ciltli
For Tolstoy, literature and art always meant literature and art for the people. That's why public education has been one of his main goals from the very beginning. When he went on a trip abroad, he called it "European schools trip" and after his return, he founded a village school in Yasnaya Polyana. While he was creating the Sevastopol Stories, War and Peace, and Anna Karenina, he was always interested in education. For this purpose, he prepared an alphabet, wrote, translated and rewrote articles for children to be read with this alphabet in schools. This is how the works known as Reading Books came into being.
One of the most famous examples of Folk Tales, a story called What Does a Man Live With, belongs to the period after Tolstoy's Anna Karenina, when he revealed his new understanding of religion and Tolstoyism. These stories, which question man's place and purpose in the world, are also part of Tolstoy's effort to educate the world.
are described as examples.
