Medical Psychological Care, in which Viktor E. Frankl recorded his central theses, is one of the author's main works and is, so to speak, a call dedicated to the demythologization of psychotherapy and the rehumanization of medicine. In the preface to the work, which was last lightly revised in 1982, Frankl wrote: "But, as I said, the book must be up to date not only at all times but also again. This may at least be true of a chapter like 'Unemployment Neurosis' and 'The Psychology of the Concentration Camp We should be happy if we avoid the ' section ever becoming topical again."
This new edition was published on 26 March 2004, the 100th birthday of Viktor E. Frankl, and was supplemented for the first time with "Ten Theses on the Person".
