As I stood up and shook the soil from my knees, I heard children's voices.

I looked around anxiously, there was no one. Then I looked at my father. I was angry at him for putting me in this situation, but then I immediately forgave him. I picked up a handful of soil from the ground and threw it away so violently that my arm was severed, as if I were chasing away the sounds with my father. I shouted with all my strength.

"The ground split open," I said, "the ground split open and he got inside."
