In the darkest days of September 12, a group of young revolutionaries were arrested in Samsun. A police officer, who was among the arresters, later became a commissioner due to his successes in the operation and the torture process. Years later, during a holiday conversation in Ardanuç, where revolutionaries are concentrated, the Commissioner in question says the following to those present in the manner of the Chief of Police: "It was the summer months of 1981. We carried out a major terrorist operation in Samsun. We caught more than fifty notorious terrorists. I am sitting in my room. I called the children and told them to bring the captured people to my room, two by two. I saw that there were two children aged 18-19. "Where are you from?" 'From Artvin.' 'From where?' 'From Borchka.' 'Son, what are you doing among these terrorists?' There is no sound. I look at the children, they are young, like saplings, if you put them in prison they will rot. If I say 'go away', how can I say it? There is a danger. I asked. Someone said, 'Avni Alpaslan's child.' "Now, if I spit up, it would be a mustache, if I spit down, it would be a beard. I saw that it was not possible, my conscience would not accept it. I said, 'Get away from me, don't appear before me again,' and sent the children away."

One of the young people in question is Ibrahim Çelik, the author of the book you are holding, and Çelik's answer to this issue is very clear: "The chief commissioner is right. I was one of the children he kicked out of his room. We were able to get out eleven years after he kicked us out."
