Faruk Duman's Shut Up Barbatus! The second volume of the trilogy was published by Yapı Kredi Publications.
The novel, the first volume of which was published in 2018, had a wide impact by receiving the Orhan Kemal Novel Award and the Cevdet Kudret Novel Award in the same year.

Set in harsh winter conditions. After the first volume full of frightening events, the spring season is revealed in all its glory in the second volume. The political events that form the background of the novel become more evident and gain momentum. In the third volume, the season will turn to summer and the trilogy will end with the September 12 coup.

Faruk Duman offers a contemporary variation of the modern novel that became epic in the pens of writers such as Faulkner and Yaşar Kemal. By creating the language of the surreal, she embodies political, historical and social realities.
