Flood in the Sumerians Turks in the Flood (3rd Dough) Book Description Our famous Sumerologist Muazzez İlmayı Çığ is now tracing the Flood legend of Central Asian origin. Although the subject of the Flood has been discussed many times and from several angles, Çığ approaches the subject from a perspective that has never been discussed before. Starting from the thesis that the Turks came to Anatolia thousands of years ago, the author investigates the connections between the Flood legend of the Turks and the Flood epic of the Sumerians. For this purpose, Çığ dives into the depths of Asian and Central Asian history and examines the Flood legends of the Turkmens, Altai Turks, Kazakhs, Azeris, Persians and Indians by comparing them with the Sumerian legend. In addition, the author compares the Flood legends, both originating from Mesopotamia and in the Torah and the Quran, with those of the Sumerians.
