Suç ve Ceza-Bez Ciltli
Raskolnikov, a law student in depression and poverty in Petersburg in the 1860s, makes a plan to kill the loan shark woman whose belongings he pawns to make ends meet in his coffin-like room. He literally wants to "crush" this old woman, whom he sees as a "louse", for the benefit of society. However, when he took action, he never expected that his sister, a "good person", would be with him.
The dilemma and psychological reckonings that Raskolnikov fell into have been making the whole world wonder for a hundred and fifty years: "What should be the limit of man in the absence of God?" He created havoc with the question and led to the birth of the greatest work of Russian literature.
We present this unique work of Dostoyevsky, which questions which "thresholds" a person can cross on the path to freedom, where the limit of evil begins, and sheds light on the inner worlds stuck between virtue and conscience, and which is a psychological record of a crime, with Hülya Arslan's meticulous translation.
