After graduating from Vefa High School, Şevki Ömeroğlu entered the journalism school. He took his place in the rising antifascist struggle in the second half of the 70s. He took over the editorial responsibility of Atavır Magazine . After the September 12 Coup, he was arrested for the Devrimci Sol case. After his release, he continued his publishing work. Afterwards, he participated in the founding activities of the Socialist Party. Afterwards, the Social Liberation process began. Lawsuits were filed against him due to the articles published in the magazine. He had to go abroad in the mid-90s. He continued to research and write during his ten-year exile. He returned to Turkey when there were lawsuits against him. He did not participate in active life due to heart disease. However, he did not refrain from researching, reading, writing and generating ideas until his death. His last wish was for his writings to meet the reader in book form.
