Class Union Politics

Class Union Politics includes important and interesting sections from Türkiye's labor history. In the process extending from the single-party period to the multi-party period and from there to the present day, but mainly in the 1940s, 50s and 60s, the process of formation of the working class in Turkey, union organization initiatives, the attitude of the state towards workers and tradesmen organizations and this Efforts to take under tutelage and suppress organizations are the main ones of these groups. During this long period of time, on the one hand, there are developments in the economic field and democratization processes in the political field, on the other hand, authoritarianism, which continues to exist with different appearances in every period, and its reflections on the labor universe, find a place in the studies in Class Union Politics. These sections, which have either not been studied at all or sufficiently in the Turkish social policy literature, are subjected to a comprehensive examination with the help of original archival documents in Class Union Politics, and in this form, the work makes a serious contribution to labor history studies in Turkey.
