This study, titled Malatya-Adıyaman Kurds in Travelogues and Memoirs, was written to acknowledge the rights of a people who were ignored, denied, and even started to ignore and deny themselves, and to contribute to the research on the history of the region, even if only a little.
Our book, which begins with Katip Çelebi's Cihannüma, also includes memoirs written about the Malatya-Adıyaman region in recent times, and presents the history of the Kurds of the region, spread over a wide period of time, to the reader's attention, accompanied by engravings, paintings and photographs.
Another aim of this study is to inspire new studies that will regulate the results produced by the Eastern Reform Plan and to draw attention to the richness of a region ignored by the dominant Kurdish politics and academia. It is essential that the Kurdishness and Kurdish of this center, which exported Kurdishness and the Kurdish language to Anatolia in the past, be the subject of academic, anthropological, ethnographic, sociological, historical, linguistic and theological studies for the preservation of what still exists and the revival of what has been lost.
