Time of Silence Book Description Luis Martín-Santos, in his work, Time of Silence, which has become one of the cornerstones of Spanish literature despite being censored and banned for years, presents a panorama of post-war Spain that is tossing under the shadow of the Franco dictatorship, at least as devastating and striking as the Quernica painting.
