The stories in Seher are not the work of enthusiasts, but the texts of a genuine author, blending the deep love for humanity and life with a subtle humor. What we have before us is not someone who wrote to fill the time during his captivity, but a man of letters who has not appeared until now and has not reached readers.
When I read Demirtaş's stories, I wished that the responsibility he felt towards his people, his country and the world had not become more dominant and that he had become a writer. Then, I felt ashamed of the selfishness of my literature-art vein: then, literature would gain a writer, but Turkey would be deprived of a politician of Demirtaş's caliber, an important leader of the future, and the hope of peace and freedom.

The disciplines of politics and art are not alike. Politics; While the artist has the principle of saying what is politically correct at the right time and hiding the real thoughts, the artist is conditioned to share his most secret feelings with the largest audience by digging his heart, so to speak. In this respect, I think we should put Selahattin Demirtaş 's valuable stories in a special place. These stories, which reflect the cry of a sensitive heart in the face of pain, touch a much deeper humanitarian vein than politics.
The fact that the book was written carefully and in fluent Turkish is also praiseworthy, both from an aesthetic and social perspective. The common denominator that will unite everyone in this country is hidden in the magical creativity of art. Because art is the language of conscience. Selahattin Demirtaş also speaks this language.
