Sarı Saltuk Diyarı Babadağı

"I planned to write a book about Babadağı in three parts, before the Ottoman Empire, during the Ottoman Empire and after the Ottoman Empire. My aim is to look at the Ottoman state and history from the perspective of a small town, not from the center, as almost all historians do, from Istanbul." To explain why and how the town grew and how it collapsed, I chose Babadağı, which has an exceptionally interesting place in Islamic and Ottoman history, because I was born and grew up there and I had absorbed the spirit of Babadağı to a certain extent; I got to know its lake, forests and people closely. It is still possible to breathe in the indescribable, almost "divine" atmosphere that prevails in Ottoman cities such as Bursa, Sarajevo and Prizren, in Babadağı, although it is relatively dull. "I decided to publish it, thus, I will partially repay my debt of gratitude to Babadağı."
