This book consists of a compilation of Kutsiye Bozoklar's articles published in various newspapers and magazines, questioning the relationship between art and struggle.
Studies on literary forms of art such as poetry, novels, memoirs and reviews constitute the main texture of the book. Articles on music and cinema deal with the verbal and visual forms of art and occupy an important place in the book. With her articles on media, Kutsiye Bozoklar continues her line of reckoning with the ideological arguments of the new world order. Some book introductions both examine modern revisionist decay and include criticism of the new world order.
Another topic in the book can be considered articles presenting sections from the history of the Anatolian-Mesopotamian peoples. In these articles, the author expresses a consistent stance against the oppression and dissolution policies, racist and chauvinistic attacks applied against these people throughout history. The source of the articles are books published on these subjects. By incorporating his ideas into the promotion of these books, the author responds to a current need in this field.
Art and Struggle defines a new path opened on the artistic front against the ideological bombardment of political reactionism that surrounds our world. Kutsiye Bozoklar, one of the founders of this path, continues to enlighten the way for young generations with her writings that she fleshes out with a socialist and partisan determination.
