Art/Politics Art and Cultural Politics in the Age of Culture

Does art include or exclude politics? Or is art a completely different politics? Or... the life of art; Does the power of imagination to transform reality threaten conventional politics? Is this why Plato expelled the poets from his ideal city? What role do the aestheticization of politics and the popularization of art play in the structuring of autocratic cultures? Have the political and artistic utopias of modernity gone bankrupt? Are we at the end of art and politics?
