Most of our dreams have a common feature; They do not obey the rules of logic that are the hallmark of our waking state. There, the categories of space and time are no longer valid. Our dead friends may appear to us as if they were alive, or events that we have experienced in the past and have forgotten may suddenly come to life before our eyes. We can see two separate events as if they were happening at the same time, which is not possible in reality. In our sleep, we do not obey the rules of space as well as time. It is not difficult for us to go to a distant place at once, to be in two different places at the same time, to see two different people as one person, or to suddenly transform one person into another. In short, it is very easy to create in our dreams a world in which time and space, which impose limits on our body's activity, disappear.
