Roboskî Letters - May Our Hearts Dry If We Forget
Authors: Reha Ruhavioğlu, Nurcan Aktay, Enes Atila Pay
Roboskî is the name of a place that has been burning in the middle of our hearts for exactly 7 years. These letters are roughly the same age as the massacre that took place in Roboski. They were written by the Justice Platform for Roboskî, founded under the leadership of Mazlumder and the Human Rights Association, for the campaign "I am not a statistic, I am a human being, I too have a story", which started on February 20, 2012 and continued for 34 days. Then they took two more of our young people in Roboski in the same way, now we have 36 letters and 36 sorrows. The letters were mostly written as narrations of real life stories. A chronology has been added to the end of the letters; perhaps remembering my seven-year serenca will be a guide for those who are determined to start over. We are compiling these letters into a book with the intention of starting over. “At this unfortunate point, all possibilities of the law seem to have been exhausted. "Unless a political atmosphere that puts justice before everything else and a political structure and decision that will allow that atmosphere to be formed, it seems that 'our cause is doomed'."
