Refakatçi
The Companion is an anti-Bildung, that is, a novel about not growing up or not being able to grow up. Of course, there is a history of not being able to grow up: This is the history of how delicate, fragile, pale, light-as-a-feather children, who do not even weigh themselves when carried on someone's lap or in their arms, and whose bodies become smaller and smaller throughout the novel, sometimes rebel against the world of adults and sometimes are crushed by that world. There are also dwarfs accompanying these children in the novels, as if these transparent children do not even have shadows, but the dwarfs accompany them like shadows.
-Jale Parla-
"You live in happiness by applauding the 'elites' who are deprived of establishing any kind of cause-effect relationship and who know how to spend money and sit still. You and your ilk have been put on the market with mass production for 10-20 years." "I run into you everywhere, Mary Jane Primrose." "It was very wrong of me to talk to you about anything outside of our current 'business' relationship: I don't know if it's possible to talk to anyone without starting a fight."
"The answer to this question may extend beyond 'business'," I say. There's Jack Daniels left over from last night on the table. I pour it into the glass there and start drinking.
