Herman Melville (1819-1891) was the child of a wealthy middle-class family living in New York. When he was eleven, his father, who was a merchant, went bankrupt and died a year or two later. Melville was away from school for a while and took on some jobs to earn money; After his father's death, he worked alongside his older brother, who took over the family's income. Meanwhile, he earned the right to become a primary school teacher at the school he attended. When his brother's business went bad, he left home; He started teaching farmers' children outside the city and living in the houses where he taught. In the meantime, he tried to improve himself so that he could find a better job. When he could not get any results from his efforts for this purpose, he decided to enlist as a crewman on a merchant ship going to England at the age of twenty. This decision was the beginning of his maritime adventures that would last five years. He returned to America four months later. When he could not find a suitable job again, he was enlisted as a crewman on a ship that went out to hunt whales in the South Pacific Ocean. The comfortable and safe days of his early childhood were now long gone, and they were replaced by an extremely different way of life, full of difficulties, which allowed him to get to know closely the people from the poor layers of his own society, on the one hand, and the semi-wild natives of the South Pacific Islands, on the other. We can say that Melville's writing adventure is an integral part of his experiences and world view in these distant countries.

Bulunmayan kitapların bulunduğu, kaliteli hizmetin adresi, ender bir kitapevi...İsminin kürtce olması da ayrıca sebeb-i tercîhim...
