There are very few "grounded theory" studies both around the world and in Turkey. One of the most important methodological debates in social sciences, and especially in sociology, is about the structure-agent or system-subject duality. Here, there are approaches that consider the structure or system more important (for example, Althusser's Marxist structuralism, the symbolic structure that Lacan calls the big other) and approaches that put the subject in the foreground (for example, There is a very serious methodological difference between Foucault's postmodern theory of power and micro sociologies. The meta-theoretical approach that emerges among those who prioritize structure suggests that the subject remains secondary in social action processes. Approaches opposing meta-narratives, on the other hand, claim that the actions of perpetrators in daily life practice are essential or require investigation first, but that these actions cannot be generalized to every place, time and form of society. The individual or subject tries to talk about his own life, even in a context in which he is objectified. The book in your hand shows the ways in which subjects from various professions/identities define the problems they experience in their own lives and find solutions to them. The point that draws attention here is to see that the ways in which subjects define problems and find solutions are not unique to them, but are affected by various factors in society (culture, religion, politics, market, etc.). Two originalities are striking in the book: first, the subjects' methods of defining and solving problems; Secondly, the way the sociologist formulates them.
