Theodor W. Adorno, Horkheimer's Institute for Social Research in order to prevent the rise of fascism during World War II. In the sociological research he conducted in post-World War II America, he was described as a "potential fascist" as an anti-democratic person, even though he did not openly declare or deny that he had racist and fascist tendencies and was not involved in an organization in this direction.
