The famous African proverb that says "Until lions have their own historians, hunting stories will always glorify the hunters" shows that, in addition to the basic mission of dominant historiography, the public has to look at history from a different perspective.

The Other History tries to build a historical consciousness based on rights and freedom, against the dominant ideological domination established through historical narration. He examines some controversial areas of history in order to understand them correctly and draw the right lessons. Based on some current problems, it exposes the distortions in historiography and the narratives that alienate us from our humanity.

The book itself is divided into five sections. First part; Contrary to idealizing narratives, it reveals that the first Islamic statehood was determined by the brutal internal struggles of the leading cadres. Second part; The third chapter describes the nature of the Ottoman identity vis-à-vis the Anatolian people; The effects of the Ottoman empire and the real reasons for its decline are discussed in the fourth section; It shows that we have to come to terms with the Ottoman legacy for democratization and peace. The fifth chapter examines the historical background of global problems in terms of the Pope, the Crusades, Zionism, slavery and human rights violations.
