The Before Remains - Poems That Couldn't Get Into Books
Back Cover Text (From the Promotional Bulletin)
The poems Edip Cansever wrote after his last book, Oteller Kenti (1985), were included in "All His Poems", which we published under the name After Kalır.
His first and last poems, which were not included in his books, were written by the poet and critic Mehmet Can Doğan as saying, "It is a known situation that the aftermath remains; What needs to be known is that the before remains. New comments added to my comments will show whether what remains from before requires us to 're-interpret Cansever'."
“While this book focuses on Edip Cansever in terms of understanding a poet's practice of publishing poetry and noticing his leaps in the process; Cansever's experience also says something to those who write poetry "at the point of publishing."
