The dresses of the ladies were shaped according to the music played under the light of electric lamps of various colors. I took great pleasure in watching all this beauty and harmony. I accepted that these people, beyond the small difficulties of life, were adapting their own bodies to the divine harmony of music and thus were carried away by the endless sea of happiness.

Ah, how cramped we are in narrow circles. How many small things we have quarreled with each other. Sometimes our families would kill each other for a piece of bread. In fact, how noble-minded these people were..."
