Not to go back on one's word, no matter what the conditions are, is a moral-political stance! This truth is expressed in the Alevi belief as "die to not give a word, die to not go back on one's word". Going back on one's word means surrendering to the dominant mentality. Deviating from the law of consent means opening the door to unwilling food. Therefore, going back on one's word and deviating from the law of consent means denying the truth and moving away from the Path.

Let us not forget that those who give up their own truth surrender their will to the sovereign. They not only surrender their will to the sovereign, they also make the Way open to the field of intervention of the sovereigns. The Way that is made open to the intervention of the sovereigns begins to change, transform and becomes open to assimilation...

We, the Alevis who profess the Path of Truth, will be ourselves and live our Alevism when we collectively give up on imitating other religions and beliefs and turn our direction to our own values and openly state this without distorting or twisting them. Because every action and statement made in the name of imitating someone else or pleasing someone else brings with it a departure from one’s own values and becoming different. The approach of looking cute to someone else and pleasing someone else is an approach that harms our society and should be abandoned immediately. The truth is that neither breaking away from our own truth nor moving away from our own values and becoming different will benefit the Alevis and Alevism at all.
