The Hunchback of Notre-Dame - Classic with Photos
“Quasimodo” is actually the name given to the first Sunday after Easter. XX. In 19th century Paris, orphaned babies were left on the bench in the front courtyard of the Notre-Dame Church. On such a day, High Priest Frollo takes under his protection the crippled baby he finds and names him Quasimodo. He raises him up and makes him sexton of the church; However, the sound of the bell causes the golden-hearted Quasimodo to become increasingly deaf. However, the abbot, whom Quasimodo accepts as his protector and grows up with great love and devotion for, is someone trapped in his dark inner world, writhing in the grip of his uncontrollable hatred.
Victor Hugo, in his famous work called The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, in which he weaved the events in detail, questioned the place of fate in human life and created a magnificent novel that has inspired many works of art, especially films, since it was written.
The Hunchback of Notre-Dame is also the novel of the city of Paris. Hugo conveyed that period of the city in all its details, using all the richness of the French language, causing Paris to steal a role from other characters.
