Nasreddin Hodja Selections from Jokes - Children's Classics 9 Book Description Nasreddin Hodja, about whom not much is known about his life, is a legendary person who lived between 1208 and 1484, during the Anatolian Seljuk period. There are debates about whether Nasreddin Hodja actually lived or not. In addition, there are some documents proving that he actually lived. According to the information obtained from these documents, he was born in Hortu village. Nasreddin Hodja received his basic education here and studied at the madrasah in Sivrihisar. After his father's death, he served as village imam in his hometown. After a while, Nasreddin Hodja migrated to Akşehir. It is also thought that it was found in the regions around Akşehir for short periods of time. Nasreddin Hodja died in Akşehir. He was buried in today's Nasreddin Hodja Tomb. Narratives and stories in the name of Nasreddin Hodja emerged in the same century as his death. In later times, the number of stories told in his name increased to over a thousand. Nasreddin Hodja stories are entertaining and informative stories intended to make people think. Some of his sayings have survived to this day as proverbs. He has taken his deserved place in Turkish Cultural History as the person who best reflects the subtle intelligence and humor of the Turkish nation. In addition, 1996 was celebrated as the Year of Nasreddin Hodja by UNESCO all over the world, and today festivals, competitions and scientific meetings are organized in the name of Nasreddin Hodja. In various anecdotes, he seems to have lived in the same period as Tamerlane, but this is not possible. The person who has various stories with Tamerlane is actually the poet Ahmadi. The stories were later changed. (From the Promotional Bulletin)

Bulunmayan kitapların bulunduğu, kaliteli hizmetin adresi, ender bir kitapevi...İsminin kürtce olması da ayrıca sebeb-i tercîhim...
