Ideology of Modernism

A comprehensive selection we have prepared from the literary writings of Marxist critic and cultural theorist Fredric Jameson: His articles analyzing themes such as interpretation theory, literary genre understandings, Third World Literature and national allegory, pleasure as a political problem, the place of literary criticism in history and theory, theoretical jargon. and his critical writings, in which he evaluates the works of modernist or proto-modernist narrative writers such as Flaubert, Joyce, Robbe-Grillet, and modernist poets such as Baudelaire, Rimbaud and William Carlos Williams, from an analytical and historical perspective. There is also his article about Ursula K. Le Guin: He evaluates the form of the idea of utopia in science fiction literature.
We specifically titled the book "The Ideology of Modernism". Modernism generally perceived itself not as an ideology, but as if it were a natural situation, and explained itself that way. Jameson's basic critical strategy is "Always historicize!"
