Modernite, Postmodernite ve Bauman
This book shows how Zygmunt Bauman clarifies questions and concepts such as modernism/modernity, what is modern, postmodernism/postmodernity, Enlightenment, reason, and science within his own thought. He begins by explaining, in their simplest form, the phenomena that we still discuss today, on which dozens of books have been written, such as modernism, modern, modernity, and postmodernity. Taking into account philosophical, economic, sociological, literary, scientific and political factors and reflections, it examines important schools such as the Frankfurt School, structuralism and post-structuralism. The theorists who thought about these concepts, built their works on them, and problematized these periods, such as Immanuel Kant, Friedrich Nietzsche, Theodor W. Adorno, Jacques Derrida, Gilles Deleuze, Michel Foucault, Jean-François Lyotard, Jean Baudrillard, George Ritzer, Jürgen Habermas, are notable. It allocates a place and puts us into Bauman's world of thought by passing through these connecting lines.
