The 564-page cookbook, coordinated by Muharrem Cebe and written by researcher Mehmet Öncü, includes dishes and desserts unique to Diyarbakır, such as Meyîr, Kaburga Dolması, Meftune, Burma Kadayıf. Today, there are a total of 470 recipes for dishes, desserts and drinks made in Diyarbakır. The book contains many foods and dishes prepared for the winter period, such as drying dishes, baskıs, fruit pulp, roasted hair, Amed kebab, braided cheese, şirmastic.
Stating that the Turkish and Kurdish versions of the book describing Diyarbakir cuisine have been prepared, Muharrem Cebe, Head of Culture and Tourism Department, stated that they will also participate in the World Cookbook Competition to be held in Paris.
