The First World War ends with the signing of the "ominous" Armistice of Mudros, in the words of Eyüp Durukan. Durukan, who was working at the Straits General Command at the time, was appointed as the Straits Branch Manager after the command was abolished. In addition to his many official duties, Eyüp Bey founded the secret organization called İmalat-ı Harbiye, which was responsible for smuggling personnel and all kinds of materials required for war to Anatolia during the War of Independence. In addition, among Eyüp Bey's duties is to conduct research and issue "transition documents" for those who want to pass to Anatolia. These important studies; It has taken its place in the book with an extremely realistic, detailed and non-arrogant narrative. This fourth volume of the corpus, which started on October 30, 1918, when the Armistice of Mudros was signed, and ended on September 9, 1922, when the Turkish army entered Izmir, consists of Durukan's daily notes and the addition of the texts he rewrote by reviewing these notes approximately 30 years later. It will fill an important gap.
