Medes have a unique place in Kurdish history. The Medes, who founded the Med confederation, which was the last Aryan confederation structured with its six tribes, formed an Aryan union for the first time in their history by gathering the freed Aryan groups in the Med confederation after the dissolution of the confederation, which was formed from three independent tribes established in separate regions. In addition to erasing the Assyrian State from the stage of history, the Medes put an end to the constant plundering attacks from Lower Mesopotamia. Aryan groups crowned this victory of the Medes by creating Newroz Mythology. The Medes moved from a kingdom structure to an empire structure by extending their western borders to Anatolia, as far as the Red River. The collapse of the Med Empire brought about the dissolution of the Med confederation. With the dissolution of the confederation, other Aryan groups, except the Medes, lost their group characteristics during the long years they remained in the confederation and turned from tribal structure to nation structure. The Aryan groups that formed the confederation were not in favor of unification in the name of any Aryan group. From now on, they adopted the name "Kurdish", which they deemed appropriate, inspired by the name of their great god Kardumiaş. The name Kurd had become the name of the Aryan people since 550 BC, when the Med confederation was dissolved. This was a social change and it was won by the Medes.
