(American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, Article 10.10.b)
Convicted of murder, Miranda is desperately looking for a way out. When he wants to meet with prison psychologist Frank Lundquist, he only wants to get the drugs that will end this nightmare he is experiencing. However, Miranda is unaware that Frank remembers her from high school and even had a crush on her back then. As Frank returns to those years and falls in love with Miranda, his feelings deepen and his interest turns into obsession.
As Miranda contemplates her dark future and even darker past, she realizes that there is another way Frank can give her the freedom she longs for. But what will be the cost of this?
“It begins as a touching portrait of two people meeting in a moment of weakness, but slowly builds to a surprising conclusion as events spiral out of control.”
-Vanity Fair
