The media's representation of LGBTI individuals and their attitude towards them includes attacks on fundamental freedoms such as hate speech, marginalization, targeting, labeling, and insults.

Discrimination against LGBTI individuals is one of the most important problems of the media; The media has an attitude that does not attach importance to sexual orientations and equality of gender identities, and even marginalizes them. People cannot find work in the media field or are the first to be dismissed from work, considering their sexual orientation. The media's discourse is full of hateful examples targeting LGBTI individuals. The media presents LGBTI news with violent, sexual content, contrary to social morality, and presents LGBTI individuals as "perverts" or "monsters". This is actually valid for all "others" in general.

Today, rising conservatism and increasing pressures create greater pressure on LGBTI individuals. LGBTI individuals, who are openly humiliated and targeted especially by the conservative media, live under double pressure and struggle to exist and be accepted.

In this study, the relationship between LGBTI and the media is examined from various perspectives, and the marginalizing discourses of the media are discussed from a critical perspective.
