La Fontaine'den Masallar
La Fontaine was born in 1621 in a small city in France. After getting to know the world a little in the countryside and in schools, he goes to Paris. He endears himself with his open heart, pleasant conversation, cordial friendship, smiles, his philosophy of making pain sweet, his unyielding nature without offending anyone, and his jokes that do not fall into disrespect or opportunism. He lived by reading and writing to his heart's content, telling stories full of laughter, and he said goodbye to life at the age of seventy-four, at the beginning of his last tale, as if he were sleeping.
This poet is unique in his age with his lifestyle, behavior, understanding of poetry and style; However, he is perhaps the most read French poet. The biggest feature of La Fontaine is to be everyone's while remaining its own. Of course, children can also drink from the La Fontaine fountain; But La Fontaine played with his fairy tales and made them an entertainment for mature people. Talking animals can entertain children and make them think a little; but seeing the lion, the wolf, the fox, this or that famous person whose name appears in the newspapers, combining the wolf and the lamb tale with the decision of the court... Even though the fairy tales are read as a child, one has to wait until they grow up to establish these connections.
Let's listen to Sabahattin Eyüboğlu, who adapted the fairy tales to Turkish: "The more I translated La Fontaine into Turkish, the more I loved it, and the more I loved it, the more I translated it. Our folk language will have been shaped by the nameless La Fontaines, which will show off the idioms, if not the words, the richness of meaning and the possibilities of expression, if not the special taste, of this great language master." ", I did not have much difficulty in understanding the thought games in Turkish: The more I search, the more La Fontaine words are found in Turkish, especially in village Turkish."
