Turkish Economy in the Globalization Process
The Turkish economy has been living in a constant crisis process for the last thirty years and has been pushed into a vicious circle of "instability-crisis-growth-instability" spiral since the 1990s. Discussions in the Turkish economic literature generally see the main cause of the crisis as just a "public finance" problem and attribute the crisis directly to the "size" and "incompetence" of the public economy. However, such explanations completely isolate the historical development of the crisis from Turkish socio-economic life and evaluate it as a stand-alone, spontaneous process; It ignores the social distribution relations that lie behind the crisis, and the capital accumulation and class conflicts created by these relations. Thus, the phenomenon of crisis is completely isolated from its historical reality and cannot go beyond the prose expression of the final indicators.
